Affiliate disclosure

Where things stand today

DogTally does not have any affiliate links right now. Every link on the site points to a source, a citation, or another page on DogTally. Nobody pays us to appear here.

What may change

We may add affiliate links in the future, for example a link to a dog food brand or a pet product we mention in an article. If that happens, some of those links will let us earn a small commission when you click through and make a purchase. The price you pay stays the same either way. We do not add a markup, and the commission comes from the retailer, not from you.

What will not change

Commissions will never change what our calculators output. The puppy weight predictor, the food portion calculator, and the dog age calculator all run on the same formulas and data tables regardless of any affiliate relationship. Those formulas and tables are cited on our methodology page, and the citations stay in place no matter what we link to elsewhere on the site.

Our recommendations are not for sale. We will not recommend a product because it pays more, and we will not drop a product because it does not pay at all.

How you will know

When we do add affiliate links, we will mark them clearly near the link itself, with wording such as "this is an affiliate link" or "we may earn a commission on this link." You will not have to hunt for a disclosure buried on a separate page.
